With the news of Phase 5 beginning on June 11, St. Gerald is excited to announce the following:
Capacity: ·All capacity restrictions are lifted. The pew ropes will no longer be used and we will allow 100 % capacity. Physical Distancing ·All pews will be open. Physical distancing is not required for vaccinated persons. Physical distancing is recommended for unvaccinated persons if conditions allow. We will NOT require proof of vaccination. Masks ·Masks are no longer required for vaccinated persons. Masks are recommended indoors for unvaccinated persons. ·Eucharistic Ministers who are vaccinated are no longer required to wear a mask or shield. Hand Sanitizing ·Hand sanitizer is no longer required, but we encourage using the hand sanitizer dispensers located in all the vestibules entering the church. Hand sanitizer will be available before receiving communion, but not required. ·Eucharistic Ministers will continue to sanitize their hands when approaching the altar and after receiving their Communion, before distributing to the congregation. Communion ·We will continue to give Communion in the hands only. Entrances/Exits ·All entrances and exits will now be open. Check-in/Reservations ·Reservations and check-in are no longer required. Sign of Peace ·We strongly recommend no-contact Sign of Peace. Confession ·Through the month of June, confession time and location will remain the same. No greeter will be needed. No reservations will be needed. Baptisms ·Greeters and Ushers will not be needed. Church Cleaners ·It is no longer necessary to clean the church after all the masses.
